Adult ADHD Assessment & Treatment at Generation Health
We are proud to offer a dedicated Adult ADHD service at Generation Health, led by Dr. Nina Byrnes, who has undertaken specialist training in this area. Dr. Byrnes has a long history of providing extended mental health care. She completed a post graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry in 2004 and has undertaken further specialist training in Adult ADHD alongside psychiatrists and other health professionals specialising in this area with UKAAN. She can diagnose and prescribe treatment for ADHD in adults aged 18 and over, using a structured, evidence-based approach tailored to each individual.
We recognise that ADHD can present differently in adults and is often underdiagnosed. Our goal is to offer a thorough, respectful, and supportive assessment process to help individuals better understand their symptoms and find effective ways to manage them.
You do not need to be a regular patient of Generation Health to access this service. We welcome new patients seeking clarity, diagnosis, and ongoing care.
We also work closely with a consultant psychiatrist specialising in ADHD to ensure the highest clinical standards and continuity of care.
Our ADHD Assessment Pathway
- Initial Screening Appointment – €150
A 30-minute consultation to explore your symptoms, background, and any concerns. This appointment is ideal for those who are unsure about pursuing a full assessment, offering a supportive space to discuss whether further diagnostic steps are appropriate.

A 30-minute appointment including a physical exam, blood tests, and ECG to ensure safe prescribing and to rule out other health issues. - Diagnostic Consultation – €750
A comprehensive 2-hour consultation using validated tools to assess for ADHD, review life history, and identify any co-occurring conditions. - Treatment Planning Review – €150
A 30-minute follow-up to discuss your diagnosis, outline a personalised treatment plan, and initiate or adjust treatment as needed.
